Hey everyone, I’m kind of annoyed with all this HEIC photo stuff. I just want plain old JPEG. Can anyone help a tech novice like me and tell me how to save iPhone photos as JPEG not HEIC?
HEIC (High-Efficiency Image Format) is a modern image file format designed to efficiently store high-quality images while reducing file sizes while JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is a widely used image file format known for its efficient compression and broad compatibility.
The HEIC format is widely used on iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) as a default image format due to its efficient storage capabilities. If you want to share these images across different platforms, the relatively uncommon HEIC format may cause compatibility issues. In this case, it’s essential to change the image format.
FoneTool is a free iPhone backup and transfer tool that has a built-in HEIC converter. With this tool, you can easily convert HEIC images to JPG, JPEG, or PNG format as needed. The converter specializes in batch conversion, enabling you to efficiently convert multiple HEIC images without compromising on their quality.
All-in-one mobile data manager helps you backup, transfer, manage data on your iOS and Android devices quickly and easily.
1Upload your photos to your PC > Launch FoneTool and go to the Toolbox section > Choose the HEIC Converter tool.
2Click Add Photos or drag your HEIC photos into the converter.
3Configure the desired output format as JPEG (here you can also adjust photo quality and storage path) > Click Start Converting to initiate the conversion process.
