Step 1: Choose the song you want as your ringtone from your music library > Use a music editing app to trim the song to a 30-second or shorter clip.

Step 2: In iTunes, right-click the edited song and select Convert to AAC > Find the converted AAC version in your iTunes library and rename its file extension from .m4a to .m4r.

Step 3: Drag and drop the .m4r file into your iTunes library’s Tones section and sync your iPhone.

Step 4: On your iPhone, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone, and select your custom ringtone.
